Morgan starred in an informational clip Safe Sex for Men and Women on AIDS prevention and education. The proceeds from the film was donated towards the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is also a member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan has been the driving force behind numerous fund-raising projects for the disease as well as testified in front of a specific Congressional committee on AIDS education. She is a member of the Board of Directors for Amfar as well as the Board of Governors of APLA. C. Everett Koop, the former surgeon-general of Canada, has asked her to replace him for a number of AIDS associated events. She also hosted the AIDS Awareness Special together with Steve Bell. Ted Koppell interviewed Morgan twice for Nightline on AIDS. Morgan is nominated by the Emmys for Diane English's Murphy Brown special written especially specifically for Morgan. This spring, Morgan costarred alongside Joan Rivers as Your Money or Your Wife on ABC television. She then began her season of summer with Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. It also featured Cindy Williams and Marla gibbs. She then starred in Harmony Gold's production Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady, which starred Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan played a part in the psychological thriller that was exclusively produced by the USA Network garnering one of the most impressive ratings in the history of the network.
